International  Manufacturer specification
Description

Applications

Towed and bottom laid seismic acquisition systems require a wide range of cables. Nexans manufacture and terminate cables such as gunumbilicals, sensor cables, riser cables and lead-in cables for sub-sea seismic operation down to 2000m water depth.

Design

Riser cables and lead-in cables correspondingly for bottom laid and towed seismic systems typically comprises high performance signal quads, optical fibres and power conductors.

Each cable section has a torque balanced steel wire armouring. The armouring is Galfan coated (Zn/Al alloy), thus giving an improved corrosion protection.

The riser cables can be operated down to 2000m water depths.
